Setting up Disconnected Satellite/Capsule servers

We have a need for maintaining RedHat server on several disconnected networks.. I understand that you can set up a Satellite Server and then configure Capsule servers on each disconnected network that can ingest the export from the Satellite server.

My question is this: Is that the only efficient (sort of) method for updating a handful of RHEl servers on each of these disconnected networks. Were talking about 6 and up to 10 RHEL servers being serviced by these Capsules. It seems like a huge amount of overhead to set these systems up.
