Hyper-V Console intergration

Posted on

MIcrosoft is currently working with the XRDP team to intergrate into the Hyper-V console in the upcoming version of Windows (Redstone 4). This allows dynamic screen sizing, copy and paste and drive sharing.

I've had a play with this and with some tweaks RHEL 7.4 works, but only after installing the Microsoft Linux Intergration Services and updating XRDP to support Hyper-V sockets.

The Microsoft LIS services are needed because the builtin LIS doesn't support hyper-v sockets. Does anyone know the if Hyper-V sockets are going to be introduced into the builtin LIS? The only info I have found is the link below, but this doesn't list versions past RHEL 7.3.
