Is there a driver for the ServeRAID 8i Raid on Mother Board (RoMB) chip on a Fujitsu-Siemens RX800 S2 server?

Symptom:

The Red Hat Enterprise Linux installer does not detect the ServRAID 8i adapter on the system board of the Fujitsu-Siemens RX800 S2 server.

Solution:

Download the appropriate driver disk for the ServeRAID 8i from Fujitsu-Siemens:

For Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4
For Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 Please keep in mind that Red Hat does not provide support for any problems associated with these vendor-supplied drivers; However, Red Hat Technical Support will assist in getting any incidents transferred to the appropriate support personnel within Fujitsu-Siemens. Red Hat is currently considering including this driver in a future update of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
