Red Hat Insights features introduced in May 2022

Red Hat Insights for Red Hat Enterprise Linux is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application that is included with your Red Hat Enterprise Linux subscription. The May 2022 features and enhancements for Red Hat Insights include:

• Documentation: Red Hat Insights documentation now has on-page feedback enabled. You can highlight text on a documentation page, add feedback, and track your feedback in an associated Jira issue. Instructions on how to use the on-page feedback tool are included in every Insights documentation title in a section titled Providing feedback on Red Hat documentation.

• Inventory: filter your inventory to show systems with or without the insights-client installed, and use the global filtering feature to identify systems with Ansible Automation Platform or Microsoft SQL Server workloads.

• Advisor: use the export feature to download a list of systems impacted by advisor recommendations, and review ten new recommendations that focus on reliability, availability, and performance.

• Vulnerability: look for the new CVE dashbar at the top of the CVEs page view in the console, which helps you prioritize and navigate Insights findings more easily by displaying the number of, and links to, CVEs that are associated with higher risk.

• Compliance: you can receive alerts and notifications when certain compliance conditions are met, such as systems falling below a specific compliance threshold, or systems that fail to report.

• Policies: Microsoft SQL Server facts are now collected as part of a system profile so that you can create policy conditions and send notifications for MSSQL workloads.

• Resource optimization: navigate to the resource optimization service from the Insights overview dashboard, and review additional version information about your Red Hat Enterprise Linux system as provided in the system list and system details view.

• Notifications: use custom role-based access control (RBAC) groups as recipients for email notifications so that you can notify a specific list of users as defined in RBAC user access settings.
