Download and install version 1.8 of Red Hat AMQ Streams, now available

Version 1.8 of Red Hat AMQ Streams is available for download and installation.

The features added in this release of AMQ Streams on OpenShift include:

• Support for OpenShift Container Platform 4.6 and 4.8, and Apache Kafka version 2.8.0.

• Toggle a subset of features (ControlPlaneListener and ServiceAccountPatching) on and off using feature gates in the operator deployment configuration.

• To support the upgrade of custom resources to the v1beta2 API, AMQ Streams provides an API conversion tool.

• Kafka Connect build configuration updates.

• Use the Kubernetes Configuration Provider plugin to load configuration data from external sources.

• Define logging filters to limit what is returned in the log.

• OAuth 2.0 authentication enhancements.

• User quota handling is managed through the API instead of ZooKeeper.

• Cruise Control for cluster rebalancing.

• Use the Kafka Static Quota plugin to set throughput and storage limits.
