Adobe InDesign sometimes crashes when saving a file to a Gluster volume over Samba

Issue

On seemingly random occasions, when a Windows client is saving a file to the storage server, the application will crash with an error:

The network connection was lost for the file filename.ext, or the file was modified by another process

Error logged in /var/log/glusterfs/gluster-data.log is:

[2012-04-05 13:22:23.23045] E [client3_1-fops.c:1640:client3_1_setattr_cbk] 0-data-client-1: remote operation failed: Operation not permitted
[2012-04-05 13:22:23.25438] E [client3_1-fops.c:1640:client3_1_setattr_cbk] 0-data-client-0: remote operation failed: Operation not permitted
[2012-04-05 13:22:23.26901] W [fuse-bridge.c:666:fuse_setattr_cbk] 0-glusterfs-fuse: 971574587: SETATTR() /dir/filename.ext => -1 (Operation not permitted)
