When will BPMS 6 allow users to specify groups as BusinessAdministrators ?
Issue
- There has been a growing need for
jBPM6to allow user defined groups to act asBusinessAdministrators. Currently the concept ofBusinessAdministratorsinBPMS 6.0.xhas been implemented around users, and not around groups. For example, when adding abusinessAdministratorIddata-item to a task definition, a user is created at runtime, as opposed to a group. - Some users have a complex environment with multiple users (several dozen thousand), multiple user groups, and multiple administrator groups. There are departmental groups of users who have their own group of administrators, so the built-in
Administratorsgroup cannot be leveraged here in this sort of business use-case. - It seems that a provision for a
BUSINESSADMINISTRATOR_GROUP_IDis implemented in versionjBPM 6.1.0-SNAPSHOT[1] . Is this feature going to be available in future releases ofBPMS 6.x?
Environment
- Red Hat JBoss BPM Suite (BPMS)
