After adding a second NIC (network interface card) to my system, the config file is not there in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/

Issue

  • Added a second virtual NIC to a RHEL7 system using VMWare
  • RHEL7 OS, the second NIC is visible after issuing ifconfig command
  • There is no second NIC file in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/
  • ens33 is the name of the second NIC

Environment

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0
Network driver: e1000
