We are planning on using snmp v3 when a manager performs a get operation fron our agent. From what I understand there are 2 security modes in V3

USM
tunneling

We want to use net-snmp's tunneling support which requires version 5.6 or later. We are running redhat 6.4 which contains version 5.5. I assume this version does not support turnneling; is this true:

Does redhat plan on upgrading its net-snmp version to 5.6 or later on redhat? If this is not the case how involved is it for us to upgrade the net-snmp version to 5.6 or later and are there any known issues running this version on redhat 6.4?
