Why didn't pam modules make user home directories automatically under krb5 with RHEL6?
Issue
- The the following option was used in
/etc/pam.d/system-auth:
session required pam_mkhomedir.so skel=/etc/skel umask=0022
- Afterwards checked user authentication with krb5 was possible, but the pam_mkhomedir module did not make user home directories automatically.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- oddjob with ldap or krb5 authentication modules.
