Why scheme is http and not ajp for ajp connector?

  • In domain.xml/standalone.xml the ajp connector is defined like this:
<connector name="ajp" protocol="AJP/1.3" scheme="http" socket-binding="ajp"/>

Please explain why scheme is http and not ajp for ajp connector?
