• I need files to be securely removed when either vsftp or sftp servers remove them.

• How do I have these applications call srm, shred or similar application for secure deletion?

• What we need is to only destroy files when they are deleted from FTP.
  For example: A user connects via ftp and issues the command "del test.txt" we need the FTP server to not just unlink that file but instead run "shred test.txt." It needs to immediately destroy any file that is deleted while the server is still running.

• This is exactly what we are currently doing with ProFTPd on our other platform. Does Red Hat support the ProFTPd software package?
