Can separate commands be used to start the agent and JBoss ON server with rhqctl?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • In our environment, both JBoss ON server and JBoss ON agent are running side by side. JBoss ON server is running on jonadm id and JBoss ON agent is running on root id. We used to use separate commands to stop 'agent' and 'server'. With rhqctl on JBoss ON 3.2, whenever, we try to start/stop JBoss ON server, the rhqctl command also tries to start/stop agent. Then we will be given the following messages: Is there a resolution for the problem ?
chmod: changing permissions of `/opt/JON/agent/rhq-agent/plugins/rhq-database-plugin-4.9.0.JON320GA.jar': Operation not permitted
chmod: changing permissions of `/opt/JON/agent/rhq-agent/plugins/rhq-augeas-plugin-4.4.0.JON312GA.jar.REJECTED': Operation not permitted
