Why channels disappear from system profile on Satellite and from system?

Issue

  • Client servers were subscribed to channels. When try to patch them the channels have not been there, this can be seen in system profile of client on Satellite webui and yum repolist output on client system.
  • It would appear that the channels a client is subscribed too, seem to be removed but no one has made any changes in either satellite or client.
  • Client system is getting registered with Satellite server for twice as per the event logs under system profile.
