P2V migration fails for system which uses software RAID.
Issue
-
During one of the physical windows server migration, using virt-p2v.iso. An error occurred with messgae 'virt-v2v: Failed to lunch guests appliance'. The system is built on software RAID (aka fake RAID).
-
There is note in virt-v2v guide saying 'Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4' and 'Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5' physical machines with their filesystem root on a software RAID md device cannot be converted to virtual machines. Does the same apply to windows machine?
Environment
- virt-v2v-0.8.7
- Windows physical machine on software RAID.
