My NFS exports listed in /etc/exports are not loaded at boot

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The nfs service starts up at boot as configured but doesn't seem to load /etc/exports since running exportfs after boot shows an empty list.
  • Running exportfs -r corrects the problem.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
