Removing printing options in Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Issue

  • We were successful in adding the option for Tray #2 with the -o option. However, now that we need to remove, thought the man pages state -r removes the specified option, it does not.

  • This command added the option:

    lpoptions -p mcl1426 -o InputSlot=Tray2

    This command does NOT remove the option:

    lpoptions -p mcl1426 -r InputSlot=Tray2

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Common Unix Printing System (CUPS)
