java.lang.IllegalStateException error when accessing application that uses RESTEasy Client in JBoss BPM Suite 6

Issue

  • An application uses ClientRequest to access a REST API and when it is deployed to BPMS 6.0.x and accessed, it throws an exception similar to the following:
Caused by: java.lang.IllegalStateException: JBAS016071: Singleton not set for ModuleClassLoader for Module "deployment.bpms6-client-resteasy.war:main" from Service Module Loader. This means that you are trying to access a weld deployment with a Thread Context ClassLoader that is not associated with the deployment.
