The SSSD daemon (sssd_nss) uses an excessive amount of memory
Issue
- Today we had a system that was unresponsive after sssd had consumed 40% of the 2 GB of RAM
- The only way to get the system back was to reboot it
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6
- System Security Services Daemon (SSSD) 1.9.2-82.10 (and earlier versions)
