Hostname not accepted from Kernel bootline for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2 PXE kickstart

Issue

When pxe/kickstarting using a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2 image the hostname set from the kernel bootline is not getting propagated to the post client installation in /etc/sysconfig/network
