We occasionally experience SocketTimeout warnings from one of our custom ESB Actions using CXF to call a remote web service

Issue

These are exceptions with CXF timing out to back-end servers (there are 3 - EAP, a Solaris Host and a Windows Server)

Is it a communications issue?

The firewall logs show no evidence of such timeouts, so is it the host itself (RHEL) causing the timeout?

Red Hat JBoss SOA Platform (SOA-P) 5.3.0
