Partition exists but is inaccessible from system

Issue

  • The /dev/sda1 partition is not accessible. The partition exists according to multiple tools such as fdisk and sfdisk and is also reported by the kernel at boot time:
fdisk -luS /dev/sda

Units = sectors of 512 bytes, counting from 0
