Server was unable to boot after reboot with the repeated error messages "Cannot create link /etc/mtab~Perhaps there is a stale lock file?"
Issue
After reboot command, the following messages repeated over and over again
Can not create link /etc/mtab~
Perhaps there is a stale lock file?
