Issue

We use satellite and it doesn't show security update severity level:

  • Results when a server is registered on Satellite 5:

    [root@client]# yum updateinfo
    [...]

       3 Security notice(s)
    updateinfo summary done

    [root@client ~]# yum updateinfo list

    RHSA-2013:1869 security pixman-0.26.2-5.1.el6_5.x86_64
    updateinfo list done

  • Result when the same system is registered to RHN (xmlrpc.rhn.redhat.com).

    [root@client]# yum updateinfo

           2 Moderate Security notice(s)
       1 Bugfix notice(s)

  • The /var/cache/rhn/repodata/rhel-x86_64-server-6/updateinfo.xml.gz looks valid and contains severity info.

  • Why severity level is not shown in updateinfo output from a Satellite 5 server?
