Resolution

  • Below parameter is set properly in /etc/rhn/rhn.conf:
server.satellite.rhn_parent = satellite.rhn.redhat.com

Root Cause

  • server.satellite.rhn_parent parameter entries were missing in the /etc/rhn/rhn.conf.
