Grub install shows message '/dev/sdb1 does not have any corresponding BIOS Device'
Issue

When trying to reinstall grub on my drive I get the following error:
$ grub-install /dev/sda /dev/sdb1 does not have any corresponding BIOS Device
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 6
- GRUB Boot loader
