Why did my VM not power off after clicking 'Shut down' in RHEV-M?

Issue

  • In the RHEV Manager, the Admin pushed the "Shut down" button, but the VM was still running after 20 minutes. Why did the system not power off correctly?
  • If user pushes the "Shut down" button, how do I configure the VM to properly respond to this action?
