iSCSI tcmu-runner segfaults with error 4 in librados.so.2.0.0 in Red Hat Ceph Storage (RHCS) 5

Issue

  • We see the tcmu-runner process segfaulting at random times.
  • The Container is not restarted and needs a manual restart.

  • You can see segfault messages in /var/log/messages

    # cat /var/log/messages | grep segfault
May 10 18:07:25 HOSTNAME kernel: ework-thread[10152]: segfault at b0 ip 00007f800a00e194 sp 00007f7e76c5c9b8 error 4 in librados.so.2.0.0[7f8009f5c000+1a5000]
