PGID of a process generated by bash script is incorrect.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Even if there is a 'set -m' line, only the first process generated by command substitution of bash script has the same PGID as the parent process. The processes after second have the different PGID.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • bash-4.1.2-3.el6 later
