Installation of katello-ca-consumer-latest.noarch rpm shows a warning "p11-kit: Couldn't parse PEM block of type CERTIFICATE"

Issue

  • While installing katello-ca-consumer rpm in the client host, package gets installed with the following warning:

    # yum localinstall katello-ca-consumer-latest.noarch.rpm
    ...
    Warning: RPMDB altered outside of yum.
    Installing : katello-ca-consumer-satellite.example.com-1.0-X.noarch
    1/1
    p11-kit: Couldn't parse PEM block of type CERTIFICATE         // warning
    p11-kit: Couldn't parse PEM block of type CERTIFICATE
    ...

  • Execution of yum repolist or yum install package_name fails with the following errors:

    # yum repolist 
    https://satellite.example.com/pulp/content/RedHat/Library/content/dist/rhel/server/7/7Server/x86_64/os/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] curl#35 - "You are attempting to import a cert with the same issuer/serial as an existing cert, but that is not the same cert."
