Why is the manpage of the getent command missing on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 ?

  • On Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5, man-pages package provides the man page of getent command.  The man-page package is also available on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.1 but the getent manpage is not there.
