Issue

  • Access for data over CIFS hangs after updating to RHEL6.2.
  • After the upgrade to RHEL6.2 sometimes the login process stops before the desktop is loaded or applications suddenly freezes.
  • When this happens a sync command will never return and a machine cannot be cleanly shut down.
