virt-v2v fails when converting windows guest with error "No root device found in this operating system image"
Issue
- Getting the following error while trying to convert a windows guest from VMWare to RHEV using
virt-v2v.
# virt-v2v -ic esx://192.168.1.1?no_verify=1 -o rhev -os rhev.example.com:/home/exports --network rhevm testvm
testvm_testvm: 100% [===============================================================================================================]D 0h31m26s
virt-v2v: No root device found in this operating system image.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x
- Red Hat Enterprise Virtualzation(RHEV)
- virt-v2v
