Issue

  • The cluster node was unable to access the quorum disk & node1 killed the cman of node2:
Jan  9 01:34:47 node2 openais[15241]: [CMAN ] lost contact with quorum device
Jan  9 01:34:49 node2 openais[15241]: [CMAN ] cman killed by node 1 because we were killed by cman_tool or other application
Jan  9 01:34:49 node2 gfs_controld[15272]: cluster is down, exiting
Jan  9 01:34:49 node2 fenced[15260]: cluster is down, exiting
Jan  9 01:34:49 node2 dlm_controld[15266]: cluster is down, exiting

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2
  • Two node cluster with Quorum disk.
  • BNX2 network cards.
