Issue

  • If a package signs using gpg key from a rhel 6 machine, then it cannot be installed in a rhel 5 machine, but the same package
can be installed in rhel 6 machine.

1. The GPG Keys (Private / Public) are generated on RHEL 6.1
2. Sign a package using this key
3. Try to install this package in a rhel 5 machine, it throws the following error

[root@]# rpm -ivh sqldeveloper-3.0.04.34-1.noarch.rpm
error: sqldeveloper-3.0.04.34-1.noarch.rpm: Header V4 RSA/SHA1 signature: BAD, key ID e531094f
error: sqldeveloper-3.0.04.34-1.noarch.rpm cannot be installed
