Not able to mount usb device "mount: /dev/sdb already mounted or /mnt busy"
Issue

Unable to mount usb drive. It is giving below error although it is not mounted:
$ mount /dev/sdb /media/usbdisk mount: /dev/sdb already mounted or /media/usbdisk busy.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- Device Mapper Multipath
