Issue

  • NFS mount requests to an AIX NFS server fails with
mount.nfs: access denied by server while mounting server:/path/to/export
  • AIX NFS server replies to NFSv3 mount requests with a status of 0xFFFFFFFF

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 NFS client
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 NFS client
  • AIX NFS server
  • NFSv3 (NFSv4 may give an I/O error when mounting)
