What does "FCP command status: 0x15-0x0 (0x70000)" from qla2xxx driver mean?

Issue

  • Seeing multiple 0x70000 messages when extended logging for the qla2xxx driver is enabled to help identify why driver was resetting the link/adapter:
qla2xxx 0000:0d:00.0: scsi(2:0:4) Dropped frame(s) detected (0x1000 of 0x4000 bytes), firmware reported underrun.
qla2xxx 0000:0d:00.0: scsi(2:0:4) FCP command status: 0x15-0x0 (0x70000) oxid=0x1d4 ser=0xab7 cdb=280000 len=0x4000 rsp_info=0x0 resid=0x0 fw_resid=0x1000
  • didn't have these issues under RHEL4
