    # mount server:/share /dir
    # df -h

    server:/share        18G  2.0G   16G  12%   /dir
    
    # ls -ld /dir
    d--------- 9 root root 4096 Oct  3 18:46 /dir
    
    # cd /dir
    -bash: cd: /dir: Permission denied
    
    # chmod 755 /dir
    chmod: changing permissions of `/dir': Permission denied
