Could upgrade of new HA qpid cluster be done node by node?

Issue

running new High Availability (HA) active-passive qpid cluster
wanting to upgrade it to a newer qpid version

Is it possible to do the upgrade node after another (i.e. shut down a broker, upgrade it, start again, while other brokers are running)? Previously with old active-active clustering, whole qpid cluster had to be stopped first.
