How to recover a lost or corrupted /etc/mtab file?
Issue
- The /etc/mtab file has become corrupt or deleted and needs to be restored for mount commands to work again.
- How to recover /etc/mtab file which was mistakenly edited but does not hold the correct data now?
- How to reset /etc/mtab file to reflect the current mount information.
