Issue

  • I can not use PXE boot over an interface which is in multiple IP networks. Is it supported, how to debug this?
  • We are using a 192.168.0.0/16 private range in order to perform kickstart deployments from our RedHat Satellite Server. Due to the fact that this network is now full we needed to switch to another range in the same VLAN, 10.0.0.0/24. Booting clients from the second range, it fails with PXE-E32: TFTP open timeout.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • DHCP
  • TFTP
  • PXE
