How to exclude Data Protector (omni) info messages from /var/log/messages?

Issue

  • /var/log/messages file is flooded with below Data Protector (omni) messages.
Oct 17 07:14:34 hostname1 xinetd[5508]: EXIT: omni status=0 pid=1362 duration=869(sec)
Oct 17 07:15:07 hostname1 xinetd[5508]: START: omni pid=1631 from=::ffff:172.26.152.220
Oct 17 03:58:59 hostname1 xinetd[5508]: EXIT: omni status=1 pid=21514 duration=1732(sec)
Oct 17 04:00:09 hostname1 xinetd[5508]: START: omni pid=22009 from=::ffff:172.26.162.103
  • Is there any way to suppress this messages?
