AMQ224091 Bridge ClusterConnectionBridge is unable to connect to destination. Retrying in JBoss EAP 7

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We have a six node colocated cluster. We brought down five nodes, killed the sixth node. Then we cleaned the data folder of the sixth node. However, when we restarted the cluster, the other nodes in the cluster could not connect to the sixth node of which we did clean the data directory. We did notice the following WARN message:
WARN [org.apache.activemq.artemis.core.server] (Thread-X (ActiveMQ-server-org.apache.activemq.artemis.core.server.impl.ActiveMQServerImpl##@aaaaa)) AMQ224091 Bridge ClusterConnectionBridge@### is unable to connect to destination. Retrying

Besides this WARN message, all other nodes could connect to this node using Telnet. What could be the problem?
