Why does a VNC session not show GNOME Desktop Environment?

Issue

After the installation of a TigerVNC Server on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux, starting a new VNC session from a client, only a browser windows and a welcome page are shown.
Once the browser window is closed, no Desktop Environment is loaded and it is not possible to perform any action.
VNC viewer not able to display GNOME desktop after configuration.
