  • Not able to start oracleasm service.

    # /etc/init.d/oracleasm status
Checking if ASM is loaded: no
Checking if /dev/oracleasm is mounted: no
# /etc/init.d/oracleasm start
Initializing the Oracle ASMLib driver:                     [FAILED]
