HP Data Protector fail to install properly in RHEL 6.

Issue

  • Trying to install HP Data Protector 6.11 (sub B6960_15008_01), but while finishing the installation there is some connection refused message as follows :

    Data Protector software package successfully installed
  Importing client to morfeo.regione.toscana.it...
[12:1625] Import host failed.
        System error: [239] Connection refused

OB2-CORE rpm installation script fails with this message:

"ERROR: Data Protector socket number 5555 is already occupied".

Now, it seems the service is not starting and listening on the port 5555.

# telnet localhost 5555
Trying ::1...
telnet: connect to address ::1: Connection refused
Trying 127.0.0.1...
telnet: connect to address 127.0.0.1: Connection refused

What is wrong? How to fix this?
