Anaconda Kickstart %include statements are not working, why ?

Issue

  • My kickstart file has a %pre script and %include line to set the timezone, but the installation is pausing and asking me for the timezone, why ?

    install
reboot
firstboot --disable
...
%packages
@core

%pre
echo "timezone America/Chicago" > /tmp/timezone.txt

%include /tmp/timezone.txt

%post
...
