Issue

  • Running a backup to tape using command  tar -cMf /dev/st0 ./data" fails with the following error:

    # tar -cMf /dev/st0 ./data/rawdata/ADNI-PETC/quals/MC/029_S_1384/mprMRI/m12/I103285/nii/dartel/rm029S1384L012307M515T.nii
    tar: ./data/rawdata/ADNI-PETC/quals/MC/029_S_1384/mprMRI/m12/I103285/nii/dartel/rm029S1384L012307M515T.nii
    : file name too long to be stored in a GNU multivolume header
    tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
