mkinitrd not including multipath bindings if multipath.conf has CRLF characters

Issue

  • mkinitrd is not including the multipath bindings file that is specified in /etc/multipath.conf
  • RHEL installed as boot-from-san wiht linux mpath in Anaconda is failing boot after adding additional LUNs

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
  • device-mapper-multipath configured using HP's Device Mapper Multipath Enablement Kit for HP StorageWorks Disk Arrays (HPDMmultipath-4.4.0.tar.gz) (optional)
